Sioux - CED's Executive and Artistic Director

Hi, I'm Sioux and I have been in the acting business for over 18 years. A fully qualified actor, I trained at the London 'Academy Drama School' in the UK, also majoring in writing and directing for the stage. On returning to New Zealand nine years ago I started to run the highly popular 'Release the Actor Within' classes through community education. I continue to be amazed by an individual’s ability to grow in self-esteem and confidence, by using the medium of drama.

Cutting Edge Drama offers people, not only acting classes, on the Northshore but also provides them with the opportunity of acting within a theatre company.

I have directed many showcases over the last nine years and have been able to facilitate amazing performances from every student, due to my unique and distinct style of tutoring and directing. I encourage people to 'think outside the square' and the results are remarkable.

I believe anybody can act given the right encouragement, and I ensure that each student has equal opportunities to shine!

James - Actor and Tutor

James Fox studied media and television at the Southern Institute of Technology. A fully trained working actor, James regularly appears on stage in drama productions on the North Shore. He tutors students aged 7 - 11 in after school drama classes and enjoys seeing his students grow in confidence and self-esteem. His energetic and fun classes incorporate drama, performance and dance.

Rosemary - Production\Lighting\Actor\Part-time Tutor

A creative and inspired individual, Rosemary has worked with Sioux over the last three years as producer for her many advanced showcases and CED's last 3 performances 'The Lonesome West', 'Bouncers' and 'Teechers'. As well as an actor and part-time tutor she is also the lighting / sound technician for CED shows and is looking forward to the exciting up and coming production of 'Ladies Night' in June 2010.
